Connecticut Class of 2025 Final Update

Another state loaded with college prospects, Connecticut consistently produces a number of high-level names that go on to play at the college level.

In today’s ranking update, we cut the state’s prospect list into a top 50 of talented names you should know before they head off to college.

The Top Ten

Alabama commit London Jemison is the clear choice here, as one of the current faces of Connecticut. The big versatile wing took his St. Thomas More team to the National Prep Championship Game this past March. Jemison was phenomenal during the event, coming up big time and time again. He made the game-winning pull-up three right before the buzzer to advance to the title game, and sunk a three in the championship game to bring it to just a four point game with a minute and change. He will bring his exponentially growing game to one of the nation’s renowned programs in Nate Oats led Alabama.

Right behind Jemison is Putnam Science’s Ben Ahmed, who flipped his commitment from Miami to Oklahoma State over the winter. Ahmed filled the record books at the Connecticut powerhouse, as he compiled points and rebounds on a daily basis, becoming a walking double double. Ahmed’s a big body down low that pushes defenders right off their spots, finishes through contact, and makes shots at the free throw line. He leaves the Mustangs as a two-time National Prep Champion, and had three overall appearances in the game.

The next four spots are filled with more St. Thomas More Chancellors and Putnam Science Mustangs, as there was a reason these two teams met in the National Championship game this season – they were both full of talent.

Brandon Benjamin comes in third, as the high motor forward did more than just prove himself this season, he showed that he was college ready from the start. His recruitment is one to monitor as the transfer portal begins to wind down.

Next up at four is Putnam Science’s Sam Osayi. The Nigerian big man’s length and overall defensive impact in the paint is one that cannot be denied or unseen. He’s about 6’9”, buys into playing team basketball and makes plays without needing the ball. Following him at five is Fairfield commit and Connecticut native Tony Williams, better known as “Butta.” Williams’ work ethic and consistent improvement over the years is an impressive story as he became a really formidable outside threat, and got even quicker with the ball off the bounce.

At six is Lafayette commit and St. Thomas More wing Christian Humphrey-Rembert. The switchability he offers on the defensive end, along with his ability to get out and pressure the rim as a dunker, or step out on three’s looks like it will translate seamlessly to the next level.

Next up is former Iowa pledge Badara Diakite, who is now back on the market and looking for a spot at the Division I level. Right behind him is Yale commit Jack Sullivan who capped off his postgraduate season with Choate this past winter. Both players have size and athleticism with varying skill sets that should impact the next level.

Rounding out the top ten is Northern Kentucky signee Ryan Tolliver and future Northeastern Husky Tyler Francis. Tolliver is one the best stories of the year in the CIAC, as the big scoring wing’s talent was able to capture college looks following his play in the Elite 75 and HGSL. Francis was another impressive postgraduate at the Hotchkiss School, who brings size to the CAA next season.
