Kyle Vinales, a six-foot combo-guard from the Phelps School in Pennsylvania made a verbal commitment to Central Connecticut this weekend.
Prior to arriving at Phelps for his post-graduate season, Vinales starred at North Farmington High School in Michigan where he was named All Oakland County as a senior, joining the likes of Ray McCallum Jr.
Vinales is best known for his ability to score the basketball, having topped the 40 point plateau on multiple occassions, both with North Farmington as well as on the AAU circuit with Detroit Fire.
He joins Teris Bourgeois, a six-foot-five swingman from Texas, in Central's 2011 recruiting class.
