2026 NE Frosh/Soph #E75 - Best of the South Guards pt. 2
More on the guards we saw down at Hamden Hall Country Day School this month!
Demari Radcliffe, Amistad: Radcliffe stood out right away in his outing at Hamden Hall with the defensive pressure he applies. He can move extremely quick laterally and keeps the ball in front of him with active hands and toughness to take contact. His ability to create off the dribble with his quick downhill burst caught our eye while he looks to be a really nice piece for Amistad as an incoming freshman this season.
Kyree Tucker, Northwest Catholic: Kyree Tucker is a young guard who plays with a high motor. Tucker has solid lead guard size and can make shots a different levels of the floor. He is another young Northwest Catholic guard to keep an eye on this season.
Nick Love, Salisbury School: The six foot freshman is an athletic and scrappy guard who crashes the boards well. Love is great on the ball, and moves well off of it as well to space the floor within the offense. Love can knock down the open three, but is a true threat in the open floor and gets downhill well.
George Dreger, Salisbury School: George Dreger is a high IQ guard, who plays within himself on and off the ball, not forcing plays or actions. He is an elite shooter who stetches the defense with his great ability from outside.
Xavier Hudson, Windsor: Xavier Hudson is a guard with a great feel for the game with the ability to playmake and create space with his handle. He offers solid positional size, with further physical development and work on his speed he can certainly thrive.
Sebastian Uljaj, New Fairfield: Sebastian Uljaj is a true 3 level scorer and can do it a multitude of ways. But where he truly excels is on the ball with his handle. Uljaj is a very shifty guard who can get to his spots and create lost of space and opportunities through his handle. To compliment his handle he shows a great change of pace. Along with showing glimpses of improved athleticism and playing above the rim. Uljaj shows great potential as a guard and certainly can improve his stock this upcoming season at New Fairfield.
Brogan Larabee, Hoosac Valley High School: Larabee is a strong outside shooter who is looking to eventually take his game to the collegiate level in a few years. He's quick to get into defenders and pull back shots, with a clean release to make them in bunches.
Jack Driggs, Albany Academy: Driggs is a sophomore point guard prospect to keep an eye out for as he continues to develop his game at Albany Academy. He's a competent lead guard that can direct traffic and run the offense as he makes strong reads to pass it around, while he's also a three-
point shooting threat as well.
Brian Zayas, Bunnell: Brian Zayas is a quick shifty guard who works well both in the open floor getting downhill, as well as working well off his handle creating space for himself in the halfcourt. He shows the ability to score both off his handle and the catch. Outside of creating for himself, Zayas is a more than capable playmaker putting his teammates in great spots to score.
Tyler Geneus, Bunnell: Tyler Geneus is a big guard for his class, and has shown he's very comfortable taking up the ball, and playing low finishing around the rim. Geneus can create space to score in the midrange as well. Tyler is a very solid defender and able to rack up multiple stops. At 6'1 going into his freshman season, it will be worth watching how he develops as a player over this season and his High School tenure.
Jaiden Cameron, Bunnell: Cameron is a heads-up player who reads the floor well and can get to the rim at will. A solid handle helps his ability to break down a defender to get downhill, where he can finish through contact but knows when to differentiate to a floater. On these drives he is also able to find the open man on a dump pass, getting them a solid look. He has shown the ability to score on three levels and can hound opponents on the perimeter.
Jaykub Lopez, Bishop Hendricken: The point guard is a shooter with great footwork to line up his shots quickly and let them fly from outside. He plays with a high IQ to space the floor and uses his threat to shoot to attack closeouts off the bounce as well. Another Bishop Hendricken prospect to keep an eye on.
Ayden Dancy, Kolbe Cathedral: Ayden Dancy is a quick, crafty guard who plays with zero fear. He can score on all three levels and has no problem putting pressure on the rim taking on his defender. Dancy can finish around the rim so many different ways whether he works through contact, gets fancy, or utilizes a floater. His quickness and amazing handle also set him up to be a great playmaker where he is able to get his teammates great looks. He will be a very fun watch in his Sophomore season at Kolbe Cathedral.
Amil Chappell, Capital Prep: Chappell is looking to have a strong first year at Capital Prep this season. The incoming freshman has skills as a downhill scorer in the open floor and a passer on the move.
Charlie Grayer, Loomis Chaffee: Grayers looking to build on his freshman season in year two at Loomis this winter. The 6'2" guard makes himself known as a shooting threat from beyond the arc who's opening up more in his game as a defensive pest and attacking closeouts to score.
Kingstan Scannell, Greens Farms Academy: Scannell makes the move over to Greens Farms and looks to bring his impactful shooting to the backcourt on a promising team under Coach Enrico. Scannell has a really fluid and repeatable form to make shots from all over and has proudly made that his niche.
Liam Roach, Staples High school: Roach is looking to carve himself out a strong role at Staples, a school that has seen a ton of recent success. The 6'2" guard plays with a high motor to get second chance opportunities off the glass, but brings impressive shooting both off the catch and rip.
Hunter Salo, Salisbury School: Salo is expected to step right into a large role in his first season at the Salisbury School in Class A. The sophomore transfer comes in from Canada and brings some high IQ and range to hit threes from well beyond the line. He plays with pace and can really defend the ball.
Michael Caterino, Darrow: You can find Caterino all over the floor, he is a very active defender, and on the offensive end can work well both on and off the ball. He can make shots both off the dribble or on the catch at each level. Caterino can also push the pace leading to easy buckets, where he has shown some flashes of improved athleticism. He is a scrappy guard who gets it done on both ends of the floor.
Jahaz Holeyfield, Notre Dame West Haven: Holeyfield is an extremely high level athlete in the backcourt for NDWH entering his sophomore year. He thrives at attacking the rim to throw down dunks, doing so with real power at times, as he gets much above the rim. He can make some standstill three-pointers from beyond the arc and makes layups off cuts as well.
