Carter-Williams Leads Class in Rhode Island

Next up on our state by state list of rankings is Rhode Island.  The Ocean state has a clear cut top ranked player in Michael Carter-Williams as the St. Andrew's guard has only seen his stock continue to rise after making an early commitment to Syracuse in his junior year. 

Next up on the list is MCW's St. Andrew's teammate Aboubacar Casse.  The six-foot-five forward was new to the scene last year and still getting his barings, but we were very impressed with what we saw from him in the spring and are expecting big things in his senior campaign. 

Dante Gomes put up absolutely huge numbers last season after arriving at Burrillville and we can only expect more of the same this year as explosive guard is arguably the most talented player in the RIIL this year. 

Michael Laplante was missing in action this summer and that causes a brief dip down to number four but it wouldn't be hard to imagine him climbing back up this list as he is as explosive of an athlete as there is within the state's borders. 

Myles Brilhante rounds out the top five after his succesful summer.  The super efficient floor general ran the show well every time we watched while showing his customary steady jumper and improved playmaking skills off the bounce to match. 

Cranston West's Bryan Yarce is the sixth ranked player in the state and second overall in the RIIL.  He made triple-doubles look easy last year as a junior and will have high expectations once again this year. 

Rounding out the list are Westerly forward Zach Wells at seven and Coventry point guard Nate Stitchell at eight.  Both veterans show well against local competition and project to be recruited by several programs to take their game to the next level.
