Brown Pulling in Offers
You could see the signs last fall.
Bruce Brown was playing at a very high level. He was more explosive than ever before, his skill level had improved, and he was flat out producing on both ends of the floor.
He continued on the same path through his first season at Vermont Academy. While he was perhaps the least celebrated of the team’s four incoming sophomores, he proved himself to be far and away the most impactful of the bunch.
After standing out during the prep school season, Brown has only further solidified his reputation this spring, once again proving his worth on both ends of the floor to help BABC qualify for their fifth consecutive trip to the EYBL Finals at the Peach Jam.
While prospects and rankings are always debated, but what is indisputable about Bruce Brown is the levels at which he has produced in each of the last three seasons.
Now, he’s starting to reap the rewards. Brown recently made his debut among the national rankings when ESPN listed him 30th overall in ESPN 60 of 2016. Last week he participated in the Nike Elite One Hundred, for the best underclassmen prospects in the country.
This week, he’s picked up four new scholarship offers, one for every day in which college coaches have been permitted to call following the June 15th contact date.
Wake Forest and Boston College were the first to offer on Sunday. Rhode Island followed suit on Wednesday night, while Miami extended the offer on Thursday.
Manhattan, UMass, VCU, Minnesota, Tulsa, and Xavier had all previously offered.
