Brown Gets First Commitment at Holy Cross

Newly appointed Holy Cross head coach Milan Brown earned his first commitment since taking over the Crusader program from Justin Burrell, a five-foot-seven point guard from Potomac High School in Virginia.

Burrell had originally committed to Brown last summer when he was the head coach at Mount St. Mary's and signed a National Letter of Intent in November.  He recently received a full release from the NEC school and will head to prep school for a year, at Fishburne Military Academy in Virginia, before joining Holy Cross in the class of 2011.

A quick and creative lead guard, Burrell earned a plethora of accolades during his senior season at Potomac, being named 2nd team All-Met by the Washington Post and 2nd team all-state in Virginia AAA while averaging 20 points, 8 assists, and 4 steals per game.  Burrell was also named Cardinal District Player of the Year, Potomac News Messenger Player of the Year, and First-Team NW Region for the second consecutive season.
