Brown arrives at Putnam Science Academy

New England Recruiting Report | Wednesday, January 27th, 2016

ESPN 60 center and recent UConn commit Zach Brown arrived at Putnam Science Academy earlier this week and is set to make his debut with the Mustangs for Saturday night's 7pm home game against Lee Academy.

Brown joins PSA after previously attending Miami Beach High School where he averaged 18 points, 17 rebounds and 9 blocks last season.

The 7-footer joins senior big man Mamadou Diarra as the second UConn commit in the PSA program as well as fellow junior Hamidou Diallo, who is one of the Huskies' top priorities in the class of 2017.

Brown committed to UConn last week following his most recent unofficial visit to their campus. He also attended the Spalding Hoophall Classic and visited Putnam Science Academy's campus during that trip and transferred to PSA exactly a week later.

Brown is currently a true junior and consequent member of the class of 2017 but could potentially be on track for an earlier graduation and move up to the 2016 class according to Scout.com's Evan Daniels.

Below are some of the big man's highlights.
