The road to The AMP begins February 20th, and across all three divisions, this year’s RIIL postseason shapes up to be one of the most competitive in recent memory. Division I:

Division I is loaded from top to bottom, but the spotlight centers on #1 Barrington and #2 Lincoln, who have separated themselves all season. Barrington enters the playoffs at 18–1, its only loss coming to Lincoln, a result that split their season series and set the stage for a potential rubber match with everything on the line. Barrington relies on the scoring punch of Colin McDermott and the downhill playmaking of Caleb Satisfield, forming one of the most reliable duos in the state. Lincoln counters with its own balance and experience, led by Gianni Pagios and Josh Bergeron, making any matchup between the two feel like a championship-level game.
Lurking behind them is #3 Classical, a dangerous dark horse led by Eliezer Delbrey. If there’s a team capable of disrupting the expected finals matchup, Classical has the talent, experience and toughness to do it.
More teams to keep an eye on: #4 Bishop Hendricken is led by the dynamic duo of Michael D'Ambra & Deion Ellis-Cipriano, who can get hot. #5 LaSalle Academy senior Nicholas Tarro has been a standout RIIL talent over the years, and will look to cap off his career with a strong playoff run , beginning with a match up with #12 Shea who has big forward's, Elijah Ibidapo and Isaac Ibidapo. #6 Central sophomore Jon Ramos is one of the top underclassmen guards in the New England public school ranks. #7 Portsmouth is led by smooth scoring senior Adam Conheeny and will take on the underclassmen duo of Jayden Vaz and Robbie Mason tonight in Portsmouth.
Division II:
Tournament Schedule
Preliminary Round: Feb. 20 (Mt. Hope, St. Raphael, East Greenwich, Cranston West receive byes)
Quarterfinals: Feb. 23 @ Higher Seed
Semifinals: Feb. 26 or 27 @ Neutral Site
Championship: March 3 @ The AMP
Division Two Bracket via the RIIL Official Tournament Website
Reigning champion #1 Mt. Hope enters as the clear favorite after a dominant regular season in which its only loss came against #6 Chariho. With returning standout Maleaq Roderick anchoring the group, Mt. Hope combines championship experience with consistency, a combination that’s hard to bet against in February.
However, Division II has the pieces for surprises. #4 Cranston West, powered by EJ Tavarez and Noah Germain, has shown flashes of high-level play and could be the team that makes the bracket interesting if it catches rhythm at the right time.
The other two byes are filled by #2 St. Raphael Academy with Zerek Johnson, and #3 East Greenwich HS with big senior Dante DesMarais.
Division III:
Tournament Schedule
Preliminary Round: Feb. 20 (Exeter-West Greenwich, North Smithfield, Ponaganset, Scituate receive byes)
Quarterfinals: Feb. 23 @ Higher Seed
Semifinals: Feb. 26 or 27 @ Neutral Site
Championship: March 3 @ The AMP
Division Three Bracket via the RIIL Official Tournament Website
Division III may be the most unpredictable of the three. #1 Exeter-West Greenwich has been the standard, led by Dylan Main and Matt Chartier, but its only divisional loss came against #4 Scituate, a result that immediately makes Scituate one of the most intriguing teams in the field. Ryan Larsh leads a Scituate group that already knows it can beat the top seed, giving them legitimate “bracket buster” credentials. If they meet again, confidence, not seeding, could decide the outcome.
Justin Urey's #5 Times2 Academy squad is one that cannot be counted out, as well as #6 Toll Gate and physical senior guard, Damola Oremosu.
