2025 Prep Profile: Wilbraham & Monson
It's become a bit of a pattern over the years. For the last decade, it's been the same story, just with different characters. This year's star is Sam Fleming. The 6’7 PF went down in January with an injury and unfortunately had to miss the summer. Now back fully healthy, expect his recruitment to rise, as he heads into an important senior year.
Fleming is far from alone in the 2026 class, as he is one of five players expected to contribute early on. Returning guard Christian Martin is already off the board to play for his dad at UMass Amherst next year. The sturdy wing has a great shooting stroke, a high IQ, and can play multiple positions.
The other returner is 6’7 F Chinedu Okpara. A much-improved big man who can run the floor and is a strong defender. He has been playing his best basketball over the past 18 months and is a player that D1s should be monitoring this winter.
New to the team is a duo of post-grads, Alex Elston is a smooth lead guard with a lot of wiggle and a great on-ball defender. He is sneaky athletic and can score from deep range as well. Colin Okparaigwe makes his way to Massachusetts from the Czech Republic. A big-bodied hybrid forward, he is the ultimate glue guy who can fill lots of roles for this team.
The junior class is led by 6’4 Loomis Chaffee transfer Julien Price. The efficient guard has a tight handle and is a match-up nightmare with his size. Upstate New York transfer Dylan Keane is another big-bodied forward who should benefit from a reclass year and provide much-needed depth in the front court. 6’5 wing Jayden Cole will add depth to the perimeter.
Owen Earle will look to build off a big freshman year as the guard is in the best shape of his life and is known for his shooting prowess, but is able to use his 6’3 frame to impact the game in a lot of ways. Joining him in 2028 are 6’6 F Maddox Dobson and 5’9 G Devin White. Dobson is a long forward still growing into his body, while White is expected to compete for minutes in the backcourt along with local repeat freshman Trey Dillahunt.
All in all, this is a well-rounded, deep team with players for coaches of all levels of college basketball. Given how deep AA is this year, it will be up to the team to compete day in and day out to try to earn a spot in the final 8 and make the playoffs.
