2025 North #E75 College Showcase Recap Pt. 1

The Northern edition of the Elite 75 College Showcase returned for a second year, and once again brought out a hoard of top public school and prep school prospects in the class of 2026. The states of New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont were highly represented both by the participating prospects, and players in attendance, with a vast number of future college basketball players taking the floor.

To kick off the recap of the event, here are some names at various positions who caught our eye, with more recap on the high level talent in the gym coming in the following days.

Noah Limbago, Kimball Union - Limbago was a propsect we tracked throughout last spring/summer in his time in the ZGXL. The 6'3" wing/guard has a high motor and strength to overpower defenders off the dribble and get into the lane. He's able to get up and throw down some big time dunks, while also bringing some nice shot creation to the floor in the mid-range. Expect him to play a big role for KUA this season.

Hudson Scroggins, Kimball Union - Scroggins is an incoming postgraduate from Illinois with a notable skill set. The big 6'7" forward's footwork in the post is very impressive as he plays well with his back to the basket, and can manuever his way around opposing frontcourt players. He brings good touch around the rim, and can put some pressure on it as well as a dunker with some physicality to him.

Alton Williams, Hollis Brookline - The Hollis-Brookline native has made a name for himself in New Hampshire as a 6'6" forward with a skill set to impact the game on both ends of the floor. He's got the size and length to guard across the frontcourt, and did so well in his showing playing stout defense. On the offensive end, his strength and ability to finish through contesting defenders aroind the rim stands out.

Jacob Klass, Beverley - This guard out of Beverly High School is an all around offensive threat. His quick first step allows him to slip past defenders and finish through contact at the rim. Klass also can stop on a dime and take smart pull up jumpers from both inside and beyond the arc. On the defensive end he works hard and puts good preassure on ball. He went to work at Proctor, and looked the part of his budding reputation as one of the MIAA's top guards.

Marcel Rose, Spaulding - One of New Hampshire's top public school guards, Marcel Rose, stood out big time in his showing the other night. Rose plays with power, specifically as a slasher, and gets downhill with force. He connected on some three-point attempts, and has a solid release on the ball. As a defender, his quick feet and active hands caused problems for opposing guards as he racked up deflections and turnovers.

Akol Maiwen, Edward Little - The first Elite 75 appearance for Akol Maiwen was a notable one. The 6'2" guard has built a reputation for himself as a two-way guard propsect, that can really light it up as an outside shooter. While he can make shots efficiently, hisn handle and ability to get others involved as a playmaker are notable as well. Maiwen contributes a ton to the defensive end of the court, serving as a stout on-ball defender that has active hands to force deflections and turnovers.

Tyrie James, Windham - There's been a lot of buzz around Tyrie James in the Maine 2026 class, and he backed that up the other night. James is a quick point guard with some twitchy ball handling skills. He was able to score the ball in bunches from different levels of the court, whether it was converting through contact or knocking down pull-up's, he showed off his versatile scoring skills. We expect James to have a big year ahead of him up in Maine.

Adam Fitzgerald, Scarborough - As we noted during the event, the Maine native is really coming into his own, and is primed for a big senior year in the MPA. Fitzgerald's ability to impact the game as a shooter off the catch has always stood out, but his development off the bounce caught our eye. He made a number of shots off-balance, or with defenders closing out, and can really light it up at all three levels.

Jamal Stanley, Keene - Stanley's primed to take on an alpha role this upcoming season at Keene High school following the graduation of Javon Massiah. The guard's shot creation led to a number of baskets throughout the night, as he used his handle to separate from the defense. Stanley's pop towards the basket enabled him to convert at a high rate around the rim as well.

DeShaun Alston, Thornton - Alston's well-rounded scoring ability stood out in his outing the other night. He was able to connect from deep on multiple occasions, and did a great job of getting right to the basket off the bounce from the three-point line.

Reece MacDonald, York - McDonald plays a sound all-around game, with basketball bloodlines in his family. The guard is a threat to shoot from beyond the arc, with a knack for converting at a high clip off the catch. He see's the floor well and did a nice job of attacking lanes to the basket. On drives, he has some moves and step-through's to get around the defense.

Atticus Whitten, Gorham - Whitten's high motor play resonated with our staff watching on at the event. He was all over the court, making strong passing reads, and stepping out to knock down long ball's from deep.

Tej Stewart, Twinfield - Stewart showed off his versatile skillset once again at Proctor Academy the other night. He's got an advanced handle led by his quick crossover which allowed him create a lot of space. The guard finished inside consistently, and played well off two feet.

Logan Zoulamis, Mt. Ararat - Zoulamis was a pleasant surprise on the night that had some coaches asking who he is. He's a 6'0" guard that can really score it. He shot the ball at a high clip throughout the night from all over the perimeter, with his quicks and toughness standing out as well. Keep an eye on him moving forward.

Cristo Mambu, Lewiston - The 6'5 Lewiston native was an unknown heading into the event, but only helped himself in his showing. His fluidity on the floor stood out, while thriving in PnR's and getting involved as a rebounder on the class.

Chris Lupone, Kimball Union - The postgraduate guard brings a sound game to the court as he contributes in multiple facets. His floor vision and passing ability at the point guard spot led to a ton of opportunities for his teammates to get good looks. He was able to step into three's from outside as well with his smooth release on the ball.

Lucas Legage, Portland - We've seen Lucas Legage progress over the past two years and he once again stood out. The guard is a sharpshooter from outside, with a low and tight handle that allowed him to get around the floor and get to his spots. His playmaking and ability to make the right pass stands out as well.

Abdi Omar, EO Little - Omar was able to penetrate the paint on drives throughout the night and convert around the basket while absorbing contact from defenders. He rebounded the ball consistently throughout his game sets as well.

Michel Butera, Deering - Butera's primed to make noise in his upcoming senior season at Deering, and showed out at the Elite 75. He was able to use his quick burst off the dribble to get past defenders and to the rim. His bag stood out as he packs a quick spin move to create space on drives.

David Katanga, Thornton - Katanga was a new name we came away with out of the state of Maine the other night. He's got notable size at 6'4", with bounce and athleticism around the basket to match. His touch around the basket stood out, while he showed he was able to extend that a bit beyond the three-point arc.

Kasen Abbott, Keene - Another college prospect out of Keene High School in New Hampshire, Abbott played well in his showing. The guard put his three-point shooting to the test, knocking them down notably well out of the corner. His heads-up guard play and ability to examine the floor as a passer is impressive as well.

Landon Ellsmore, Bedford - Ellsmore had a good spring with Mass Rivals averaging 16 points during the Live Period. He is a true point guard that makes smart passes and can create shots of his own using his handle to get separation or to his spots. The speed and ability to switch directions that he brings to the floor was on full display during the Elite 75.

Cellan Wood, Rutland - Wood's jump shot stood out in his appearance, as he brings a clean, fluid release to the floor, and hits them consistently. He plays a balanced game with the ball, knowing when to seek out his own shots, and limits turnovers with it in his possession.

Cooper Sparks, Rutland - Sparks' Elite 75 debut was a notable one as the 6'5" forward out of Rutland Vermont showed off his two-way capabilities. His blend of touch from long range and size is one coaches made note of, while he blocked shots on the defensive end as well.

Jules Lewis, Middlesex - The high academic wing prospect out of the Middlesex School is primed for some big recruitment in the NESCAC. At 6'4", the southpaw packs some size on the wing, spacing the floor as a perimeter threat as well. Lewis makes timely cuts to the basket off the ball, and can really pressure the rim as a dunker in those scenarios.

Bryce Ballou, Mascoma - Ballou's downhill scoring ability was noted by our scouts in his showing. He was able to beat defenders off the dribble in multiple scenarios, and get to the bucket to score.

Eli Russell, Twinfield - Russell's a new name in the class of 2026 in the Green Mountain State to know. He showed off his ability to get to the basket throughout the night.
