2025 Frosh/Soph #E75 - Best of the Wings pt. 2
Here are some more wings who caught our eye in last weekend's Frosh/Soph Elite 75.
Liam Hamilton, Thornton Acad - The rising sophomore out of Maine's Thornton Academy has a lot of momentum behind him as one of the top underclassmen prospects in the state. With great wing size, Hamilton is a knockdown shooter from outside that can get shots off in an instant, while also confidently attacking closeouts off the bounce, and finishing at the basket.
Tobe Carberry Jr - The rising sophomore is fresh off a good start to his high school season, scoring the ball in bunches as a freshman that's still growing into his body. With high-level basketball in his bloodlines, it's easy to see the potential that Carberry brings to the floor. In his outing, Carberry did a great job of using his length to impact the game as a shot finisher and defender.
Camden Hill, New Bedford - A 6'4" incoming freshman at New Bedford HS, Hill was one of the biggest newcomers in the 2029 class on the night. Across his two game sets, Hill showed a proficiency for getting to the basket with swift moves to get through the defense, and pop to get up above the rim to finish off dunks. The freshman is the son of a former Division I player and has considerable upside to note moving forward.
Jack Rousmaniere, Brooks - Battling through injury at the showcase, Rousmaniere was still able to make his mark in the moments he had on the court. The Brooks School prospect brings two-way play to the court as he can score it inside/out with good touch to his shots, while being able to switch onto players in the backcourt using his length and footwork well in doing so.
Anza Handwerger, Nobles - With early size to his frame, Handwerger has some notable upside to keep an eye on as he enters the Nobles system. A 6'5" wing, he made a number of plays on the defensive end crowding lanes with his length, and showing off his ability to get above the rim as a finisher.
Bodhi Cohen, Monument Mountain - A new name to know out of the Western Massachusetts region, Cohen stood out amongst the talent on his showcase squad. Standing around 6'5", Cohen brings a compact, but efficient jumpshot to the floor, which he was able to convert on from mulitple levels. His IQ and feel for the game are notable aspects of his game as well.
David Nguidjoi, Bradford Christian - The rising freshman has a solid early skillset to build off of as he enters his high school years. Nguidjoi has size, quickness and length to his game, but putting it all together will be key. He has shown an adept ability to attack the rim using his handle and vision, while being able to step into some shots as well.
Henry Veissid, Staples - Returning for a second run in the Frosh/Soph Elite 75, the Staples wing has continued to add to his game as he enters his sophomore year. In his outing, his defensive intangibles stood out as he played stout defense on multiple positons on the floor, while crashing the boards with strength to grab rebounds that came his way.
JT Healey, Scituate HS - An incoming freshman in the Rhode Island state association (RIIL), Healey is a sizeable wing to keep an eye on. The 2029 prospect has shown good ability to pressure the rim with his pop to get above it for dunks, while using his length to guard the floor defensively, and keep the ball in front of him.
Jackson Vincent, Billerica Memorial - The rising sophomore wing has shown off a pretty well-rounded skillset thus far with soft touch a bit away from the rim, the will to challenege players defensively, and heads up playmaking ability.
Jacob Huckaby, Hamden Hall - Huckaby is another returner to the Frosh/Soph Elite 75 that has made strides in his game since his last appearance at the event. The 6'5" wing is developing into a solid 3 & D player at this point in time, a coveted asset in a college prospect. Huckaby has a smooth shot from outside and in, with the versatility to switch on defense.
Travis Brimley, Clippers - The Boston native has early size at 6'4" as he gets into his freshman year of high school. Brimley brings a good blend of both ballhandling and the ability to get up to the rim as he continues to work on his athleticism. Joining Cathedral this season, his development will be one to keep an eye on.
Will Erickson, Gardner - The younger brother of Elliot Erickson, a wing we have gotten to a see lot of, there is upside to monitor in Will's game as well. Will's entering his freshman year at Gardner High School already standing at 6'5", and uses the length and strength he already has to finish around the rim consistently. He has potential to be an impact freshman at the smaller school this season.
Gavin Lozaw, Cheshire - Playing with many of his grassroots teammates from Team Locked In, Lozaw showed off the wing skills he brings to the floor. In his outing, he was able to use his length well on drives to the basket, exposing holes in the defense and finishing consistently in the paint.
RJ Knox, Bishop Hendricken - The Rhode Island native has definitely begun to make progress in his game as he stood out on the night at the Elite 75. Knox brings size to the wing and a notable shooting ability that the defense has to be aware of. He thrives as shooter off the catch, and can get up to finish inside as well.
