2025 Frosh/Soph #E75 - Best of the Forwards pt. 1

The forward position brought a lot of size to the floor at both of events, and was also another position group littered with talent. Both the classes of 2028 & 2029 have some notable names to keep an eye on in this group.

Here's the first batch of them to know.

Sonny Dellasanta, Milton Acad. - At 6'11", Dellasanta brings a unique skillset to the floor as he's proven to be able to reliably operate out on the perimeter, scoring it on drives off the bounce, or rising into jumpers. As he enters a system at Milton that's thrived on developing young players, continuing to build up his body will be key to his development.

Braylon Washington, CATS - One of the most impressive aspects of Washington's game that we got to see was his ability to get to the basket off the dribble. The 6'5" forward has an advanced handle on the ball with fluid movement to get around defenders. Scoring it well inside, and rising into pull-up jump shots, there is a lot to like about his upside.

Aidan McGrath, Thayer - One of the most highly-touted class of 2029 prospects thus far, McGrath once again showed out. With a standout season at North Quincy and some international experience under his belt, the reps have definitely shown. McGrath scores the ball well inside and out, while slowing the game down and making strong reads for both himself and those around him.

Jack Rye, Worcester Acad. - An incoming sophomore from the United Kingdom, Rye brings size to the frontcourt, standing at 6'9", and may still have room to keep growing. He has good length to go with his size, offers some versatility as a shooter from the perimeter, and can get down and dirty to finish through contact inside.

Maddox Dobson, Wilbraham & Monson - An incoming sophomore, Dobson has some good experience under his belt, as well as a noticeable improvement in his game. While serving as a competent stretch forward, the Northern Mass native makes good playmaking reads as a perimeter passer, scores it in the paint, and locks in defensively.

David Djan, Putnam Science - As one of the youngest players to win a National Prep Championship, Djan's experience shone in his Elite 75 showing. The 6'7" forward is one of the most athletic players on the court as he can really get above the rim and switch on defense. Expanding his game as a scorer will be a major stride to keep an eye on down the line.

Tommy McGovern, Marblehead - Another big forward with upside coming out of the South Shore, McGovern had a strong outing playing with his UA Rise teammates. At 6'5, his ability to score on drives off the bounce stood out as he did so very fluidly. He also does a great job of relocating, boxing out and collecting rebounds off the glass.

Modu Abdulrahman, MSC - Transferring into "The Mount" from South Kent, Modu has impressive upside to look out for moving forward. He's already got a pretty consistent shot from beyond the arc, and the toughness to attack the basket through contesting defenders. As he develops physically and adds different elements to his offensive attack, he will certainly be one to watch.

Isaac Olaniba, MSC - We got to see some glimpses out of Olaniba this past winter, and he's continuing to put it all together. The Nigerian native stands at 6'8, and is extremely switchable, quick, and fluid defensively to guard multiple positions. His athleticism leads to a number of dunks above the rim, and his game is seemingly expanding to include a consistent jump shot as well.

Dwayne Trail, NDWH - The pipeline at Notre Dame West Haven continues to be chalk full of impressive names out of the New Haven area with Dwayne Trail being another of note. The 6'4" forward's high energy play is hard to miss when he's on the floor, and his finishing stood out all day as he scored at-will in the paint.

Evan Seitz, St. Luke's - The 6'8" forward has continued to improve since his debut in the Frosh/Soph Elite 75 last September. Most noticeably, he is attacking the rim as a short roller more often and finishing with authority when the opportunity arises. His motor as a rebounder definitely stands out as well.

Rayan Taku, Malden Catholic - The incoming freshman at Malden Catholic has built himself a reputation thus far heading into his high school years, and now joins a winning program as well. Taku does a great job of making an impact as a scorer off the bounce with a low and tight handle and seeking holes in the defense. He's able to finish pretty explosively as well for dunks when the chance comes his way.

Dylan Seymour, Greens Farms - A returner from the state of Connecticut, Seymour is continuing to develop his game and make a name for himself. He stands well above a lot of players on the court at 6'7", with versatility to score the ball at all three-level's and play stout defense.

Kacyn Conner, Mansfield - While a bit smaller than the average frontcourt player, Conner makes up for it in several aspects of his game. He does a great job of playing fast, attacking lanes in the defense and using his strenght to get inside defenders, while he can also step out to the line and knock down shots. Underclassmen to know in the Hockomock league.

Ryan O'Rourke, Bedford (NH) - We got to see a lot of O'Rourke's older brother, Connor now at Saint Anselm, and like the upside that Ryan possesses. Like his brother, Ryan stands at 6'6" with long arms and good timing to block shots, while contributing on the boards as a glass cleaner and shotmaker.
