2025 Central #E75 College Showcase Recap pt. 6
Thomas McCullough, Daniel Hand - McCullough is one of the best new names to know following the event with his ability to take strong drives to the basket and finish through contact. His quickness allows him to generate many steals defensively, and he uses his body well to create advantages on both ends. The high-academic point guard is scrappy on both ends while he shoots it well, and runs the offense.
TyJhaun Rogers, Hillhouse - Rogers is presumably stepping into a major role this upcoming season following the graduations of Avery Sutton and Jared Coleman. His good ball handle and ability to move well in transition make him effective in the open court, while his unselfish play and court vision help get teammates involved. The guard takes strong drives to the basket, handles contact well when attacking the rim, and rebounds it very well in the back court.
Brody Fay, Chicopee Comp - Fay does an excellent job boxing out and being aggressive on the boards while also having some backcourt size. His ability to get back in transition led to many easy buckets in his outing. The guard's rebounding motor caught our eye as well.
Anthony Roman, New Fairfield - Roman's aggressive drives create problems for defenses, and he shows good control with his jump stops to survey the floor. His ability to kick to open teammates and make the right pass demonstrates solid court vision and decision-making. The guard can also pull up effectively from mid-range when defenses give him space to operate.
Connor Chiarello, Swampscott - Chiarello surpassed the 1,000 career point milestone this past winter, and showed off his relentless attacking downhill at the Elite 75. His quickness allows him to push the ball in transition and create fast break opportunities for his team while he finishes inside.
Miles Spodick, Amity - The 6'3" guard uses his hesitation move and change of pace effectively to create advantages as a playmaker. His pickpocket ability on defense allows him to generate steals and turn defense into offense.
Tyrell Bryant, NDWH - Another contributor one of the deeper public school squads in New England, Bryant made the most of his outing. The guard showed off his shotmaking, while playing unselfishly as a playmaker.
Jonathan Jones, NDWH - Jones shows good finishing ability around the rim and attacks the boards aggressively on both ends of the floor. His footwork around the basket allows him to create space and convert on scoring opportunities inside.
Elijah Ibidapo, Shea (RI) - The rising junior brings good size to the guard position, standing at 6'4", and plays with an aggressive style that consistently drew fouls. His rebounding ability from the backcourt gave his team extra possessions and led to baskets for his teammates. It'll be exciting to watch his continued development in the next year or more.
Ryan Mutschler, Hanover - The 6'5" forward attacked the offensive glass relentlessly in his outing, while showing he can convert those second-chance opportunities into points. His aggressive style around the rim consistently gets him to the free-throw line as well in his game sets.
Gabe Tesler, Hingham - The strong 6'5" forward takes smart jump shots and shows good shot selection throughout his two games. He plays the defensive end of the floor at a high level and is in line for a big senior season this year.
