2024-25 Prep Profile Series: New Hampton School

The New Hampton School Huskies enter the 2024-25 season with high expectations, following a Final Four appearance in the National Prep Championship and a narrow defeat in the NEPSAC AAA title game. Despite losing only one starter to college, they return a core group of talented, experienced players and position themselves as strong contenders this season.

Star-Heavy 2025 Class

Mason Blackwood and Keyshuan Tillery have become central figures for New Hampton. Both recently committed to Penn State and Cincinnati, respectively, and have built strong chemistry over years of playing together, including in AAU. Tillery, a floor general that contributes in all facets of the game is a nightly triple-double threat, while Blackwood’s size, strength, and improving perimeter shooting has turned heads. The two New York natives saw major spikes in their recruitment after continuous developments in their game and have one last opportunity to fight for the NEPSAC and National Prep Championships this season.

Naz Meyer, a Wyoming commit, enters his second season with New Hampton after transferring from Agoura Hills, California. Known for his scoring ability, Meyer blends size, ball-handling, and a pull-up shooting game that adds another dynamic threat to the Huskies' offense. Will Goode, a transfer from Kansas, brings over fifteen Division I offers and is expected to fill the frontcourt void left by Wesleyan commit Oscar Edelman. He's a known scorer from inside and out with strong rebounding skills.

Gus Fried and Sarp Oskan, both 6'4" wings, add depth off the bench. Fried's a swiss-army knife type asset to the team while Oskan brings strong slashing skills to the court.

Promising Class of 2026

Jayden Harrington, Ty Tabales, and Chad Cook all return after contributing to the Huskies’ success last season. Harrington, known for his shooting and high basketball IQ, is a versatile floor-spacer as an off-ball guard. Tabales is a microwave scoring guard who has improved as a facilitator, while Chad Cook, a 6'7" forward, brings ball-handling, post passing, and a developing perimeter game, positioning himself for more minutes this season.

Additionally, Ben Safran returns as a sharp shooter with an improving all-around game, and Kieran Sullivan, an athletic forward, contributes solid defense and rebounding in the junior class.

Talented Underclassmen

The Huskies are also developing young talent in Blake Bastani (2027) and Beau Millar (2028). Bastani’s perimeter game is worth monitoring, while both he and Millar are poised to grow into their roles within the program.

With a deep and talented roster, the New Hampton Huskies have their sights set on capturing a title this season. Keep an eye on them as they aim to finish what they started last year.
