National Prep Showcase one week away
One week from today the 2018 National Prep Showcase will return to Albertus Magnus College and New Haven, Connecticut.
The National Prep Showcase annually hosts the very best post-graduate programs from, not just New England, but the entire country. This year is no different as every team in Prep Circuit’s recent Post-Grad Power Ten is in the field. Additionally, every program that has won a National Prep Championship in the last 12 years is also in next weekend’s field.
The event will attract a who’s who of national media, as always, with ESPN, 247, and Rivals all scheduled to be on hand for all three days along with numerous other regional and national outlets.
College coaches and NBA scouts are also expected to be out in full force. This event has attracted over 100 plus college coaches in virtually every year since its inception. It has also become a popular event for NBA scouts in recent years and over 10 credentials have already been issued, especially following last week’s story that Brewster Academy guard Jalen Lecque was eligible, and interested in exploring, a jump directly to the NBA.
Other top prospects in the field include Brewster Academy’s Kai Jones (Texas), Alonzo Gaffney (Ohio State), Anthony Walker (Miami), Joel Brown (California), Jamal Mashburn Jr. (2020), and Terrence Clarke (2021); Sunrise Christian's Malik Hall (Michigan State); Putnam Science Academy’s Akok Akok (undecided), Russell Tchewa (Texas Tech), and DeMarr Langford (2020); Woodstock Academy’s Tre Mitchell (undecided), Noah Fernandes (Wichita State), and Ody Oguama (Wake Forest); MacDuffie’s James Bouknight (UConn), Ismael Massoud (Wake Forest), and Richard Springs (2020); Hargrave Military Academy’s Davonte Gaines (Tennessee); IMG Academy’s Lester Quinnones and T.J. Shannon; NMH’s Chris Ledlum (Harvard); Blair Aacademy’s Dexter Akanno (Marquette), Jabri Abdur-Rahim (2020), and Akoldah Gak (2021); Cushing Academy’s Bensley Joseph (2021) and Alexis Reyes (2021); Massanutten’s Dereon Seabron (undecided), Jarren McAllister (VCU), Brandon Suggs (undecided), and Mahamadou Diawara (undecided); Montverde CBD’s Oton Jankovic; New Hampton’s Mika Adams-Woods (Nebraksa), Trey Hall (2020), and Dyondre Dominguez (2020); and Scotland Campus’ Karim Coulibay and Clarence Nadolny.
