2011 Rankings Released
New England has a new number one as Andre Drummond’s combination of size, mobility, and athleticism gives him a higher upside than any other player in the region. Drummond has yet to prove he can put it all together on a consistent basis, but that hasn’t stopped some of the nation’s most prestigious college programs from being hot on his trail already.
Naadir Tharpe is another player who could easily claim the title of New England’s best prospect. He is, in our opinion, the region’s best player in the class of 2011 at this very moment, the top point guard prospect, and a future high major player.
Hotchkiss guard Derrick Wilson comes in at number 3 as he has the physical talents to play at the highest level and has improved his skill level two fold since last season.
Another point guard, Anthony Jernigan, comes in at number four. Of all the players who compete in the public high school leagues, Jernigan is currently the most dominant in New England.
Cushing Academy’s James Kennedy comes in at five as he has gotten bigger and stronger in the last year while also becoming more explosive athletically and more skilled.
Mike Carter-Williams, Alex Miller, Egi Gjikondi, Michael Laplante, and Joe Sharkey round out the list of the top ten sophomores in New England.
