ZG Mass Madness Preview

As the fall progresses, we can see improvement in many programs.  The quality of basketball has improved every week on the Zero Gravity Fall Circuit and we expect this weekend to be no different as ZG invades southeastern Massachusetts for their annual Mass Madness tournament.

The varsity bracket is wide open this weekend.  A lot of teams, such as Bay State Flash, Mass Select, RI Elite & Synergy have really improved this fall, and are looking to take the next step here at Mass Madness.  With Middlesex Magic in the field, however, they need to be considered the favorite looking at their recent history.  Coming off a title last weekend, they will have the target squarely on their back.  Don't sleep on Expressions 2019 team, however.  They are playing up a division, but their talent may be enough for them to challenge Coach Mike Crotty & the Magic.

The 10th grade division has been owned by BABC so far this fall.  Even with their success, there will certainly be challengers aiming right for them.  Middlesex Magic fall into this category.  Coming off a strong performance last weekend, these should be fascinating times in this division, which has arguably been the deepest age group in the ZG Fall Circuit.  Expressions Corria (who are more than capable of holding their own), Evolution, Central Mass Swarm, Rise Above Basketball & Worcester Sting are among the teams that will give BABC & Middlesex Magic a run for their money this weekend.

The 9th grade field has really come on strong of late.  The Boston Bobcats are one of the premier teams in the northeast right now, but Expressions is nipping at their heels.  Their 2021 team is very talented, and will look to show all in attendance here at Mass Madness.  Holyoke Elite has performed consistently all fall long, and look to jump into title contention.  RI Elite, KSC Thunder, NE Playaz Academy, B2L & Cape Cod Bulls all pose serious threat this weekend, too.

Stay tuned to @ZeroGravityBB, @NERRHoops & @Sully_ZG for updates from Mass Madness all weekend!
