Williams Scores with Robinson

Phillips Exeter Academy’s post-graduate forward Duncan Robinson made a recent verbal commitment to Williams College following a weekend visit to the school.

Robinson, who graduated from Governor’s Academy last year, was a prospect on the rise after a strong AAU showing with the Middlesex Magic in the month of July, earning his first full scholarship offer along with Ivy League interest.

One of the best pure shooters in all of New England, Robinson has a feathery stroke with range well beyond the three point line, a high basketball I.Q., and a long six-foot-seven frame that is just starting to add muscle mass.

Robinson will be following in the footsteps of his AAU coach, Michael Crotty Jr., who graduated from Williams in 2004 after earning All-American honors in both his junior and senior seasons, and joining another former Phillips Exeter post-graduate, Ryan Kilcullen, who is entering his sophomore season after transferring from Boston College.

Robinson’s commitment is pending his admission into the college, which he hopes to receive following his early decision application.  Williams College is the number one ranked liberal arts school in the country according to US News and World Report.
