Where are they in week 3?

More than in either of the first two weeks of the recruiting period, New England's top programs and prospects are scattered all around the country this week.

In Las Vegas, both the Mass Rivals and the New England Players weren't just taking part in the Adidas Summer Championships but also the Creator's Cup, an 8 team field comprised of the top teams in the Adidas Gauntlet. The Playaz advanced all the way to the finals before falling in a 55-53 heartbreaker to Compton Magic. They began with a 73-69 win over Team Loaded North Carolina, this year's Adidas Gauntlet champions, in a game in which Ethan Wright scored 15 points on 7-8 shooting from the floor. They knocked off Team Loaded Virginia 64-52 in the semis behind 20 points from Nate Laszewski. He had 24 more in the final on 10-14 shooting from the floor and that was almost enough as the Playaz had a potential game winning three go in and out in the final possession. Now, both the Rivals and Playaz will move on into the full tournament field where the Rivals are the defending champions.

Expressions Elite and WrightWay Skills are also in Las Vegas taking part in the invitational division of the Fab 48. WrightWay dropped their opener on Thursday but had a pair of pool play games scheduled for Friday. Expressions fell to Team Breakdown in their opener and knocked off Team Final Thursday evening. Marcus Zegarowski and Dana Tate played to rave reviews during Wednesday night's Tip-Off exhibition game while Max Zegarowski has been on fire from three, knocking down 22 long-balls in the first three games of the week.

BABC, Middlesex Magic, Metro Boston, and the D.C. Blue Devils were all in Orlando taking part in the AAU Super Showcase. BABC was one of 20 teams selected to participate in the Gold Showcase and they finished pool play with a 3-0 record knocking off GA Team Power 70-35, Team Felton 68-35, and New York Lightning 70-58. In the silver division, Metro Boston also won their pool while the Magic and Blue Devils were alive heading into Friday's bracket play as well.

Stamford Peace, Rhode Island Elite, The System, CT Premier, and CT Northstar were all in Atlantic City for Live in the A.C. The System and CT Premier made their way into the Atlantic bracket with the System winning their opening round game against New World before falling to Playaz Red.

In Springfield, the BasketBull Summer Finale will tip-off on Friday with Connecticut Basketball Club, PTT, Boston Warriors, Connecticut Select, and East Coast Mavericks among the teams scheduled to be in action.
