Watts Commits to Seton Hall
South Kent School & Seattle Rotary Style guard Isaiah Watts announced his commitment to Seton Hall this past Friday.
Watts played for four years at West Seattle HS. He was a part of the Varsity team since his freshman year. Watts earned 2021 3rd Team All-Metro League honors and 1st Team All-Metro League honors in 2022.
He competed on the Nike EYBL circuit for Seattle Rotary Style.
A decision was made following his senior season to do a post-graduate year at South Kent. Watts has done well on the elevated stage so far, averaging 11.5 points through four games.
“Isaiah is a young post-grad with tremendous upside,” said South Kent head coach Raphael Chillious. “He has great basketball genes as his grandfather is NBA legend Slick Watts and his father Donald played point guard at the University of Washington.”
“He is a knockdown shooter with an advanced scoring skill set while also being a springy athlete. His best days are definitely ahead of him, especially as he continues to physically mature.”
Watts becomes the third member of South Kent’s 2023 class who has finalized their plans to play division one college basketball at a power six program next season.
