Vanier Takes Hoop Mountain Team Camp Title

Championship Game Recap - Vanier 59 Milford 37

It started off as a tightly contested battle, but all it took was one timeout and Vanier took over. Ben Millaud hit shot after shot without exerting much effort. It was clear from this game that Millaud can score with the best of them and he had 16 points when it was all over. As for Milford, the big men duo of Jon Fuentes and David Mercier battled in the post with their high-low action. Unfortunately for Milford, Millaud, Javonm Walker, Mike Dasado, Greish Clerjuste, and Michael Fazzoloir proved to be too much for them.

Pingree Sophomore Trio

When first watching Pingree, one would have thought this was a veteran team. The sophomore trio, however, of Johnny Spears, Kyle Lentini, and Connor Reardon did more than just hold their own. Spears ran the point, allowing for scoring guard Isaac Carp to play off the ball and had an impact on the game, even when he was not scoring. Lentini and Reardon did their fair share of work inside and grabbed rebounds that most wouldn’t have expected them to.

Evaluations

Greishe Clerjuste (Vanier) - This wing has a smooth outside shot that, when he is hot, can be nearly unstoppable. He knows when to pass up shots to get his teammates good looks as well.

Mike Dosado (Vanier) - A point guard with a nice outside shot. Dosado helped set his team apart by a couple consecutive three-pointers.

David Mercier (Milford) - An inside-outside big man with a good touch around the hoop. He played especially well when he was cleaning up off of the glass.

Aaron Annibolli and Michael Threbarm (Milford) - Two very tough guards that were not afraid of contact or getting on the floor.
