UConn Adds New York Guard

The University of Connecticut picked up their second commitment in the 2013 class on Sunday, landing a verbal commitment from Terrence Samuel, a six-foot-four guard from South Shore High School and the New Rens grassroots program.

Samuel is the second New Rens product to commit to the Huskies in 2013, joining Long Island Lutheran power forward Kentan Facey, who pledged earlier in August.

Samuel is a powerful and versatile guard who is capable of playing all three perimeter positions.  He was also being recruited by Rhode Island, Tennessee, and Pittsburgh according to the New York Daily News.
