Turkson Commits to Texas A&M

2024 Bradford Christian Academy & Mass Rivals forward George Turkson announced his commitment last night live on 247Sports to Texas A&M.

Before coming to the NEPSAC, Turkson played for Lowell HS. In a COVID shortened 2020-21 season, he averaged eight points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks to help the Red Raiders finish 6-2.

His first season at BCA was a success. Turkson earned a starting spot for a Sentinels team that made the AA Semifinals and earned a National Prep Ranking for the first time in program history. His standout play also helped him earn ALL-NEPSAC honors.

This past high school season, Turkson was again a key piece for a successful BCA squad. He helped them earn Final Four spots in both the AA Playoffs and National Prep Championship.

Turkson competes on the Adidas 3SSB circuit for Mass Rivals. He was part of a 2022 team that went 15-4 in the Adidas 3SSB regular season and capped off July by winning the 3SSB Open Championship in Los Angeles, California.

It was a solid April for him last month in a number of different settings. Turkson stood out at both the Northeast Hoops Festival and Adidas 3SSB live period events. He is averaging 10.4 points and 7.1 rebounds with Mass Rivals currently holding a 5-3 record.

Turkson becomes the second member of BCA's 2024 class who has committed to play high-major college basketball.
