Traicoff Taking Game to College Level

Beverly High School (MA) and Mass Elite guard Sam Traicoff has committed to Gordon College.

A standout in the Northeast Conference, Traicoff has been a captain since his Junior season and last season averaged over 15 points per game en route to being named a Salem News All-Star.

"Sam's a great kid and he is a going to terrific addition to Gordon College" said Mass Elite head coach and program director Eric Polli said. "Coach Murphy adds a young man of high character who does things right on the court, in the classroom and in life. We are really happy for Sam and are estatic to watch him compete at the collegiate level.

Traicoff is an extremely versatile player who shoots it well from behind the arc, has a strong frame and can consequently finish at the rim. He's a high I.Q. player on both ends of the floor and a quality defender both on and off the basketball and so should have a chance to compete for immediate playing time as a freshman.
