Tilton’s Parker D1 Bound
Cameron Parker traveled across the country to prove that he was a division I basketball player and he ended up doing just that.
The Oregon native exceeded all expectations during his post-graduate year, ended up earning multiple division I offers following his performance at the National Prep Championship, and on Sunday, opted to remain in New England for another four years with a commitment to Sacred Heart.
In Parker, the Pioneers are getting a southpaw pure point guard who has excellent speed, court vision, and an instinctive feel for the game. He's as creative and gifted a passer as there was in New England this year and still has his best basketball ahead of him as he continues to develop his body.
Parker was named honorable mention All-New England in Class AA this season and broke Tilton's single game assist record on two different occasions. His most impressive achievements though were as part of his team's collective success as the Rams won the Lakes Region championship, the NEPSAC Class AA championship, and then advanced to the semifinals of the National Prep Championship.
He becomes the third member of the Rams' 2018 class to accept a division I scholarship but certainly won't be the last as three others have picked up offers this year but have yet to make their final decision.
