Swider Sets the Bar in Rhode Island’s 2018 Class

Our updated 2018 rankings take us to the state of Rhode Island today where Cole Swider continues to separate himself from the rest of the class.

The Villanova pledge is one of the most potent scoring forwards in the entire country. He's a pure shooter from behind the arc but a versatile scoring threat who has the ability to attack close-outs, an assortment of pull-ups and floaters inside the arc, and athleticism at the rim in the open floor.

While Swider was an easy choice for the top spot, things get much more debatable after that.

Swider's St. Andrew's teammate Nevin Zink has been coming on strong as of late while Bishop Hendricken's Tyrone Weeks has set the tone inn the RIIL. Either could make a case to be #2 behind Swider.

Westerly's David Tiedemann has already earned a full athletic scholarship to Assumption and has a bright future given his combination of size and skill. South Kingston big man Keegan Records had an offer to his name earlier this year while two more SAS products, Brandon Kolek and Dillon Grant, have also attracted attention at that level.
