Stars of Tomorrow Camp Standouts: Guards

Callen Willworth - Skilled guard has a crisp handle and will spray you up from long-range in clutch-situations; as he did repeatedly over the course of the weekend at #STARS. Has a terrific feel for the game and has the potential to be a nice player as he grows and gets stronger.

Brendon Sailer - High-motor guard has a great motor and impacts the game on both sides of the ball. Defends, rebounds, moves the ball, attacks with the dribble to get to the basket when the space is there, and finishes around the basket in a variety of situations.

Jackson Scotnicki - Skilled guard with quickness and a crisp handle makes plays with the ball in his hands both in transition and the half-court. Natural feel for the game and the ability to raise the level of his teammate's play.

Cam Dunning - Heady point point guard handles the ball well and has a nice feel for playing the game from the back-court. Distributes the ball eyes-up in the open-floor and will look to get into the lane off the bounce to create offense for himself or a teammate.

Eddie Bianco - Knock-down shooter out of the back-court with range extending out past the arc. Spaced the floor throughout the weekend by moving effectively without the ball to get himself open-looks and then converting.

Derek Brewer - Skilled wing-guard with a nice feel for the game spaces the floor with his ability to knock down the outside shot and distributes the ball well whether stationary or on the move.

Jamil Hornesby - Quick point guard with a crisp handle darts from Point A to Point B off the bounce like a water-bug; gets into the lane off the bounce to create offense for himself or a teammate. Shot-maker from beyond the arc and the mid-range off the bounce.

Josh Gilbert - Fundamentally sound guard has improved significantly over the past year and he looked good playing his all-round back-court game at #STARS; handling against pressure, using the dribble to penetrate & create, and knocking down shots with confidence from the outside.

Tamil Tate - Playmaking CJ McCollum Rule guard possesses a crisp handle and has chipmunk quickness changing directions off the bounce. Skilled with some serious shake, Tate has a real chance to catch up with his peers as he grows and gets stronger.

Ryan Lim - Rising sophomore guard with extreme quickness had a good weekend hitting leaner and floaters in the lane off the bounce while he also ignited the break continuously by forcing turnovers on the flip-side of the ball.

Jason Lim - C/O 2018 guard with water-dart quickness changing directions off the bounce to create separation. Has a nice floater game in the lane, pesters the opposing ball-handler, penetrates to distribute, and will keep getting better as he catches inches and pounds so he can play more effectively over the top and through contact.

Aaron Strong - Solid all-around guard knocks down shots and will get buckets in transition while playing tough on the ball defense and tracking down rebounds & loose-balls.

Chuma Oyigbo - Long-lanky shot-making guard spreads the floor with range beyond the arc and also has the ability to get into the mid range for a pull up or leaner. All kinds of room left for improvement as he gets stronger and is able to play more effectively through contact.

Tyler Tedford - Scrappy guard gets after it on both sides of the ball; making plays outside his area and knocking down open looks at the basket. Plays real hard and has nice potential as he grows and gets stronger.

Anthony DiStauro - Fundamental guard spaces the floor and knocks down open-looks from the outside. Smart player who looks to get the ball to his teammates in spot where they are effective.

Jake Rose - High-IQ guard with a strong fundamental skill-set and nice feel-for-the-game. Knocks down shots and plays in crisp-efficient possessions. Lot of room left to improve as he grows and gets stronger.

Ian Fulton-Black - Tough-scrappy guard plays the game hard on both sides of the ball; looking to attack creases in the open with the aggressive straight-line-drive to get to the basket while playing high-energy defense on the other side of the ball. Also showed the ability to knock down open outside shots.

Junior Destine - Hyper quick guard with open-floor speed which forces the defense to retreat with urgency. Creates transition scoring opportunities for his squad and will also take it all the way to the rack when the opening is there.

Jack Hickey - Heady point guard finishes with floaters in the lane off the dribble-drive and will knock down the open shot from the outside. Good passer who distributes the ball all-around whether stationary or on the move.

Aidan Chariton - Well-rounded guard plays a versatile back-court game with his ability to efficiently handle, pass, and shoot the basketball. Smart player looks to set up his teammate's with the ball where they like it.

Yovensy Destine - Strong-wiry energy guard with quickness provides a burst in the back-court by pushing the pall up the floor aggressive in transition and hounding the opposing ball-handler on the flip-side of the ball.
