Rodriguez Commits to SIU from JUCO
Boston native and BABC alum Mike Rodriguez made a verbal commitment to Southern Illinois on Tuesday.
The 5-foot-8 guard spent the last two years attending junior college in Iowa at Marshalltown Community College. He averaged over 22 points and 6 assists per game this year to lead the Tigers to a 19-13 record and a spot in the ICCAA playoffs this year. He went on to earn multiple division I offers including some in the Big 10 and Mountain West Conference before committing to the Missouri Valley School.
Rodriguez finished his high school career at Redemption Christian Academy and joins Jaylen Brantley (Maryland) and Darien Fernandes (Jacksonville) to become the third BABC alum to commit to a division I school out of junior college so far this year.
