Rhode Island 2023 Rankings Released
We will be releasing our updated 2023 state rankings this week. We are now on Rhode Island.
Jaxon Toney from St. Andrew’s and Tayeshawn Cunningham-Pemberton from St. George’s earned the top two spots. Toney, committed to Tampa, is a broadly built forward with versatile two-way tools. Cunningham-Pemberton is a guard with strength to regularly overpower defenders into the paint.
Dillon Cubit from St. Andrew’s is at four and NeJohn Fortes from Babson is at five. Cubit is a physically gifted big man who rebounds, blocks shots, and finishes high above the rim. Fortes, bound for Babson, is a forward who stands out on the defensive end but can also hit an occasional three-pointer.
Patrick Spenard from St. Andrews came in at seven with Bernard Dushie from Portsmouth Abbey coming in at eight. Spenard is a fundamentally sound big man with inside-out skill and physicality on the glass. Dushie is a forward committed to Rochester. He has strength, bounce, and shows flashes making shots from long-range.
Evenson St. Franc from Classical and Eman Beldeh from Rocky Hill round out the top ten. St. Franc, a forward, played a key role in his team winning 15 games including a 12-6 record during league play. Beldeh is an explosive wing who impressed this past season. He helped lead his team to the Class C Championship, earning ALL-NEPSAC Honors.
