Reuter Returning to Elite 75

The New England Junior Elite 75 Showcase made its debut last year in the spring of 2009.  The event was a great success welcoming many of the top young players the New England region has to offer.  One of the players who stood out the most was then 7th grader Jarred Reuter

The second annual Junior Elite 75 Showcase is right around the corner on March 20th and Reuter will once again be in action as he looks to solidify his spot as the top 8th grader in all of New England.

A lot has changed for Reuter since last year’s showcase as he has had continued to dominate the competition in his own age bracket while also having had the opportunity to play up against quality older competition on a few different occasions.

Last summer Jarred traveled to Orlando with Expression’s 15-and-under team for the AAU Super Showcase and “learned a great deal on that trip” according to his father.  “He saw how much talent is out there and how much you need to work to be a good player.”

Last summer he also led his 13-and-under Bay State Jaguars Elite team to a seventh place finish at AAU division I nationals and was named one of the top players at the tournament and consequently was invited to the Fab Frosh Elite Camp in Florida.  The Jaguars also captured numerous others tournaments titles last year at the u13, u14, u15, and u16 levels including the New England Super Regional.

This fall, Reuter suited up for the New England Playaz u16/u17 team and played for head coach John Carroll in what his father describes as “another great lesson of how hard you must work if you want to play basketball at the highest level.”

This season Jarred has led his Old Rochester Middle School team to a 10-0 record.  On the travel circuit, Old Rochester was equally successful, capturing the Cape Cod Youth Basketball League championship with a perfect 17-0 record.  Similarly, Reuter’s Boys Club team also stands unbeaten at 18-0 and in first place heading into their playoffs.

Individually, Reuter has finished with countless triple doubles during the course of his multiple seasons while working to expand his face-up skills.

Jarred has also been invited to the Adidas Junior Phenom National Camp in San Diego this August and is also being considered by Adiddas for a reality show that follows teenage athletes from 9th grade until they graduate high school.

Most importantly, Reuter has been getting it done in the classroom, elevating from a B level student to someone who has received straight A’s this year and been placed on his school’s high honor roll.

Spots are still available for the upcoming New England Junior Elite 75 Showcase.  Nominations can be sent to adam@newenglandbasketballservices.com.
