Quinnipiac Adds Big Man

Six-foot-seven power forward A.J. Sumbry became the latest player to commit to Quinnipiac on Saturday.  Sumbry joins two other New Jersey natives in Shack Scott and Kasim Chandler in the Bobcats' 2013 class.

Sumbry, who will spend his senior season at St. Benedict's, ran with the Playaz Basketball Club on the Nike EYBL schedule and was also one of the standouts of the Hoop Group Elite Camp.

A well built power forward, Sumbry can also run the floor extremely well and step out to 15 feet to make open shots.  He projects capable of making an immediat impact in the NEC as a freshman.
