PSA Big Man off the Board

Putnam Science Academy post-graduate big man Vincent Eze made a verbal commitment to Manhattan on Thursday afternoon, becoming the second frontcourt player to commit to the Jaspers in a matter of hours.

Manhattan started the day with a pledge from Cardinal Hayes (NY) and New Heights big man A.K. Ojo, whose presence inside the lane at six-foot-eleven will presumably allow Eze to slide over to the power forward position down the road.

An interior tandem of Ojo and Eze has the potential to be absolutely dominant on the defensive end of the flor.

Eze is exceptionally long and very athletic with a chiseled frame. He also has an absolutely relentless motor and plays with great energy on both ends of the floor. He runs the floor very well, cleans the glass, blocks shots, and has the potential to develop into an effective pick and roll big man on the offensive end.

Prior to arriving at Putnam Science, Eze previously starred at Notre Dame Green Pond High School in Pennsylvania. He is a product of the LVBR AAU program and made his New England debut two years ago at the 2013 Memorial Day Super 16 Showcase.

Eze becomes the fourth product from this year’s Putnam Science team to accept a division I scholarship offer, joining Kealen Ives, who pledged to Rider last week, along with Andrew and Aaron Robinson who committed to Quinnipiac just prior to the school year.
