Providence Lands Boo Williams Product
Providence College picked up their first commitment in the class of 2012 as newly appointed assistant coach Chris Driscoll tapped into his well known connections within the Nike grassroots program to help land Josh Furtune, a six-foot-five swingman who stars with the Boo Williams AAU program.
Fortune, a rising junior at Kecoughtan High School in Virginia, made a name for himself this summer at AAU Nationals in Orlando when he dropped 36 points and 8 three-pointers on the Southern Kings in helping his Boo Williams squad run to a fifth place finish.
Still just 15 years old and already owning big time bounce and a knock-down shooting stroke from the perimeter, Fortune has great potential with his best basketball still far in front of him.
