Prep Championship Semifinals Set

Over 80 college coaches were on hand at Albertus Magnus College on Tuesday for the National Prep Championship quarterfinals.  Virginia head coach Tony Bennett, George Mason head coach Jim Laranaga, Siena head coach Fran McCaffery, Hofstra head coach Tom Pecora, Drexel head coach Bruiser Flint, LaSalle head coach John Giannini, Fordham head coach Jared Grasso, Fairfield head coach Ed Cooley, Albany head coach Will Brown, New Hampshire head coach Bill Herrion, Central Connecticut head coach Howie Dickenman, and St. Francis head coach Brian Nash were just a few of the coaches lining the walls at the National Prep Championship on Tuesday.  Additionally, loads of assistant coaches were on hand with schools like Villanova, Oklahoma, Miami, and Baylor all represented.

Hargrave Military Academy scored a win over Tilton in the day's opener, earning some retribution for their loss in last year's final.  Northfield Mount Hermon had a well earned win over Notre Dame Prep in the 4/5 match-up.  Next up Brewster held serve by knocking out Westwind Prep from Arizona while the nightcap between St. Thomas More and Winchendon couldn't have been much more dramatic as Tre Bowman hit a buzzer beating 15 footer from the short corner to score the upset for the Chancellors in overtime.
