Pettway, Majstorovic finalize post-grad years
Two more names have been added to the prep bound list.
Marcel Pettway, who graduated from North Providence High School in Rhode Island last year after spending the majority of his high school career at Wilbraham and Monson Acacdemy, will now do a post-graduate year at the Hoosac School.
Hoosac is one of the few prep schools in New York that competes in the NEPSAC.
The move allows Pettway to remain in the same 2015 class that has been listed in since initially reclassifying at Wilbraham and Monson as an underclassman.
The powerful post player picked up an offer from Maine early in the month of July and is clearly a top priority for the new Black Bear staff. He also added an additional offer last week from Bryant University in his home state of Rhode Island.
Pettway is expected to become the immediate focal point for a Hoosac team that lost leading scorer Unique McLean following his transfer to the MacDuffie School.
Also opting for a post-graduate season is Lee Academy swingman Dusan Majstorovic. The six-foot-five Serbian native made his debut for Lee Academy last senior as a senior and emerged as one of the team’s top three-point shooters and best overall players.
He has added interest from Utah State and Southern Illinois since opting for a post-graduate year.
