Northeastern Lands Highly Regarded Wing

Northeastern scored a commitment from six-foot-seven small forward Quincy Ford on Monday.  Ford stars at Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Ford is a highly regarded prospect known for his athleticism and versatility.  ESPN rates him an 88 out of possible 100 and praises his ability to score in a multitude of ways by going to the rim, posting up, or shooting from the perimeter.  As he gets stronger and fine tunes his game, Ford is a player who projects as an impact player in the CAA.

He is the third player to commit to Northeastern in the class of 2011 joining six-foot-seven power forward Reggie Spencer from Alabama and six-foot-two guard Demetrius Pollard from Virginia.  All three are expected to sign during this month's early signing period.
