Niang Scores 2000th Point

The Tilton basketball team made their latest trip last weekend, traveling to Morgantown, West Virginia for the Mountaineer Classic.  The Rams came away with a pair of wins, knocking off Villa Angela-St. Joseph 67-50 and then Arlington Country Day 68-53.

Senior captain Georges Niang picked up MVP honors of both game and capped off his weekend with 29 points and 8 rebounds against Arlington Country Day.

Niang came into the game needing only a single field goal to reach the 2,000 point milestone for his career and reached that mark on his first shot attempt of the night.

This is just the latest in a long line of accomplishments for Niang as the Tilton and BABC star will leave New England with an incredibly decorated resume which already includes four NEPSAC titles, two AAU National Champions, one National Prep Championship, and one Nike EYBL title.

Niang committed to Iowa State last spring and is currently the 68th ranked player in the country according to the most recent ESPNU100.
