NHS PG is West Coast Bound

From Latvia to New Hampshire to California.

New Hampton School senior point guard Kristers Zoriks is seeing the world thanks to the game of basketball and now the next stop on his journey is set after a commitment to St. Mary's.

Zoriks is originally from Latvia and arrived at New Hampton School last year as a junior, making an immediate impact and landing scholarship offers at the high-major level in the process.

He spent the spring running the show for the Albany City Rocks in the EYBL before returning to Latvia this summer to star with his national team.

St. Mary's competes in the West Coast Conference and has established itself as one of the top mid-major programs in the country under head coach Randy Bennett, in large part because of a history of bringing in strong international talent, especially at the point guard position where Zoriks follows in the footsteps of the likes of Patty Mills and Matthew Dellavedova among others.

Zoriks is a pure point guard with terrific size at 6-foot-3 which allows him to see and deliver passes above the defense. He consistently runs the show and facilitates for those around him, is able to thread the needle off the dribble and also knock down open shots from the perimeter.
