NHS’ Guillory Commits to Vermont
New Hampton School senior captain Evan Guillory made a verbal commitment to Vermont on Wednesday.
Guillory put up 8 points and 5 rebounds, along with an assist and steal, per game for the Huskies last year while establishing himself as one of the best defenders in New England and helping them to their Cinderella-like run to the NEPSAC AAA championship.
He's continued to take his game to new levels in the nine months since. He's one of the clear leaders of this year's team and much more of an offensive focal point.
"Evan is a winner and leader for us. He competes extremely hard on both ends of the floor, always finding ways to make winning plays," NHS head coach Andrew Gale said. "We all knewe how elite defensively he was, but now he is making major strides offensively, developing a strong attack game and reliable jump shot. Vermont is getting a player that will compete on both ends of the floor, impact the game defensively right away and someone who is an unbelievable teammate."
Guillory projects as an immediate impact talent in the America East Conference.
