New NCAA Recruiting Period Opens this Weekend

The first of two new NCAA recruiting periods that allows division I college coaches to evaluate players with their high school teams tips off Friday night.

In New England, while none of the six state associations have opted to participate, the NEPSAC is hosting events for individual players on both weekends.

This weekend's event will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Milton Academy in Massachusetts with over 200 prospects from various NEPSAC schools in attendance. The event will have a camp/showcase style format where players will be placed in individual teams and then play two games each day.

Saturday's schedule will feature team practices before games start at 2pm. Games will take place throughout the day on Sunday.

The NEPSAC joins other associations including the Mid-Atlantic Independent School League, Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, Washington Catholic Athletic Conference, and DC State AThletics Association to run sanctoined events for college coaches this weekend.
