New Jersey Playaz Spoil the Sweep

Kyle Anderson’s New Jersey Playaz won the u17 north division championship at the Summer in the City Tournament, spoiling a potential sweep for New Heights who claimed titles in the other three brackets.

The Playaz have had a very impressive spring and summer. This long time winning AAU program showed tremendously well at the Boo Williams Tournament in Virginia, the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions in North Carolina, as well as the Pittsburgh Jam Fest. The Playaz have been a winner on the circuit for many years and with this group of 2011 and 2012 kids, the winning will no doubt continue.

Myles Mack-5’9 2011 Patterson Catholic H S. A combo guard who is a lights out shooter. Extremely fast with the ball in his hands. A very athletic body even for a 5’9 player.

Desmond Hubert-6'9 2011 New Egypt H S in South Jersey. Runs the floor very well for a big man. Tremendous shot blocker. Kansas, Memphis, Seton Hall, Rutgers, Wake Forest, and Miami are all interested.

Myles Davis- 6'1 2011 St Peter’s H S in Jersey City. Unlimited Range . Coach says he is one of those players that can shoot the ball from 25 ft and in and it is never a bad shot - his range is that good. Strong upper body so he can drive the ball and get contact and still finish.

Kyle Anderson- 6'7 PG   2012 Patterson Catholic HS. Not a misprint, he is a point guard. He handles it. Sees the floor.  Very high basketball IQ.  Shoots it well.  Big upside as he continues to develop.

Derrick Randle- 6'8 2011 Patterson Catholic. A lefty big man . Excellent rebounder and shot blocker. Showed very nice drop step over the right shoulder post moves.
