The headlines have been full of names from the New England region this week as a variety of top local prospects have been the subject of media attention.  Here's a collection of news and notes:

•  Mitch McGary is one of the hottest prospects in the entire country and his recruitment is as well documented as can be on the internet, but ESPN’s Dave Telep did a great story on McGary’s winning battle with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder earlier this week.  Click here to check out the full story http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/basketball/mens/news/story?id=6692344.

•  Kris Dunn spoke to Alex Schwartz for ScoutFriars.com about his recruitment and specifically how it pertains to Providence.  The New London guard claimed interest from the majority of the Big East and ACC with offers from UConn, Marquette, and Providence among others.  He went on to say that he didn’t have any favorites at this point but was hoping to make a decision prior to the beginning of his senior season.  For the complete story click here http://providence.scout.com/2/1081866.html.

•  Noah Vonleh was officially invited to the Lebron James All-American Camp on Thursday.  The offer came after a reportedly dominant performance at last week’s Nike Elite 100, a four day event which hosted the top underclassmen in the country.  Here’s a link to the ESPN recap from the event http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/basketball/mens/news/story?id=6656188.

•  Boston College is hosting their elite camp this weekend with one session on Saturday and another on Sunday.  Other local programs with elite camps taking place this weekend include Brown, Harvard, and Williams. 

•  Hoopville’s Spring Finale tournament will take place this weekend in Boston, unofficially marking the end of the spring grassroots season in New England. 

•  Capital Prep guard Kahlil Dukes has reportedly received phone calls from Rider, Towson, and St. Peter’s among others within the last seven days according to Alex Kline of the Recruit Scoop.   

•  Kline also reports that Berkshire’s rising junior guard Diamonte Zarba took an unofficial visit to Siena’s campus on Thursday.
