New Englanders Head to Nike Elite 100

A handful of New England products were among the 100 underclassmen invited to this weekend's Nike Elite 100.

Previously known as the Nike Hoop Jamboree for the past 12 years, the Nike Elite 100 has been the nation's premier basketball event for elite underclassmen.  This year's event is expected to be no different as Nike has invited 100 of the nation's top freshmen and sophomores to St. Louis University for four intense days of competition.

New England will be well represented at the event as Tilton's Wayne Selden and Haverhill's Noah Vonleh project to be two of the top talents in the field.  Also in attendance will be Tilton's Goodluck Okonoboh, incoming NMH big man Jeremy Miller, and Lawrence Academy's Johnnie Vassar.

Players arrived in St. Louis on Thursday night and kick off their first full day of training on Friday.  The event is not open to the public and only allows select media in prior to Sunday morning when they open their doors to all media outlets.
