New England Recruiting Report Coverage Schedule

We’re always flooded with lots of calls and e-mails inquiring about exactly what events we’re planning to attend and cover, but this time of year those inquiries go through the roof.  So in response, we figured it a good idea to print our schedule of events we’re planning to cover throughout the rest of the month of June and the first half of the July live period.

University of Hartford Team Camp
June 27th & 28th
Hartford’s first ever team camp has an impressive roster of teams participating including East Hartford, New Britain, Windsor, Hillhouse, East Catholic, Northwest Catholic, and more.  Only one spot remains in the field!   Click here for the flier.

Williams Prospect Camp
June 28th – June 30th
The Williams Prospect Camp has been a premier destination for academic achieving student athletes for years.  This year is expected to be no different under first year head coach Mike Maker.

Hoop Mountain Super Week 1
June 28th – July 1st
*Daily Coverage*
Hoop Mountain’s Super Week Camps have been one of the northeast’s premier exposure camps for over two decades now.  While division I coaches aren’t allowed out until July 6th, SWI gives college prospects a venue to showcase their skills in front of tons of division II and III college coaches.  The New England Recruiting Report will be in the gym each and every day to provide coverage.

Hoop Mountain Super Week II
July 5th – July 8th
*Daily Coverage*
Hoop Mountain’s flagship camp is sure to be a home run this year with top unsigned seniors like Ron Giplaye, Majok Majok, Dominique Langston, and Keegan Hyland to go along with stud underclassmen like Domonique Bull, Andre Drummond, Egi Gjikondi, Ricardo Ledo, Alex Murphy, and Nerlens Noel.  SWII should once again draw well over 100 college coaches at all levels and as always the New England Recruiting Report will be providing daily coverage.

Scott Hazelton Basketball School
July 5th – July 7th
Being run for the first time during the live period the Scott Hazelton Basketball School will take place from 4pm – 10pm at Rockingham Athletic Club in Plaistow, NH.  With Carson Desrosiers, Jordan Laguerre, Matt Brown, and others on hand college coaches from Providence, Syracuse, Wake Forest, and UMass have all committed to being in the gym on the night of the 6th…and so will the New England Recruiting Report.

Hoop Group Elite Camp
July 5th – 8th
Formerly known as Eastern Invitational, Hoop Group Elite Camp will draw some local products to their new home at Albright College in Pennsylvania…and so the New England Recruiting Report will be on hand to cover the action.

New England Elite 75 Showcase/Proving Ground
July 9th
The New England Recruiting Report’s New England Elite 75 Showcase has partnered with Reebok’s Proving Ground Camp to bring New England’s most prestigious showcase to the July live period.  The very best upperclassmen prospects in the region will be in attendance in addition to a handful of underclassmen who have the potential to play at the highest levels.

Hoop Mountain All-Academic Camp
July 10th – 12th
*Daily Coverage*
When the Hoop Mountain All-Academic Camp debuted four years ago it was the first of its kind – a national exposure camp that was specifically designed for high academic student athletes.  Since that time it has proven to be a trend setter as virtually every exposure camp in the country now runs some sort of “academic” camp.  As is often the case, nothing beats the original as this year’s Hoop Mountain All-Academic Camp is once again expected to attract prospects from coast to coast.

Basketbull’s First Eight
July 10th
Basketbull has put together an impressive list of travel teams for their inaugural First Eight event.  8 teams will participate in both the 17u division and the 16u division, hosted at the Mass Mutual Center, with a champion being crowned in each age bracket.

Hall of Fame National Invitational
July 11th & 12th
Many of the teams participating in the First Eight will stay for the Hall of Fame National Invitational, a two day tournament with divisions in 14u, 15u, 16u, and 17u.  In total over 100 teams will be competing at Springfield College.

Super 16 Showcase
July 13th
After emerging as one of the top events in the northeast last year, the Super 16 Showcase once again returns to Quinnipiac University this summer.  Over 100 division I coaches attended in 2008…more than any other live event in New England.  This year the field is even stronger as New England powerhouses (Mass Rivals, New England Playaz, Expressions Elite, Connecticut Basketball Club, Connecticut Select, MBR, & Metro Boston to name a few) will be joined by other elite programs from around the northeast and Canada (New Heights, Long Island Lightning Dingle, New York Panthers, Upstate Basketball, New Jersey ABC, and Champlain St. Lambert).
