NERR Announces 1st ever Coaches vs. Cancer Event
The New England Recruiting Report, in conjunction with Zero Gravity Basketball, will be hosting the inagural NERR Coaches vs. Cancer Prep Classic to be held on Friday, December 11th at Babson College in Massachusetts.
The event will include a triple-header of prep school games beginning with the Pingree School vs. the Hyde School at 4:30pm followed by Brimmer & May vs. St. Luke's at 6:00pm. The nightcap will be a rematch of last year's NEPSAC Class B final as the Brooks School faces Canterbury School.
100% of the evening's proceeds will be donated to Coaches vs. Cancer.
The Coaches vs. Cancer program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers basketball coaches, their teams, and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer. The program leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of basketball coaches nationwide to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities, and advocacy programs.
The NERR Coaches vs. Cancer Prep Classic will also be sponsored by EbLens, who will be providing pink warm-up shirts for players on all teams in just one of several initiates scheduled for that night.
