National Prep Showcase - Sunday Blog
A number of top grassroots scouts were on hand at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT for the annual National Prep Showcase.
In case you missed any action, here is a rundown from them on some of the Sunday standouts.
Productive outing for Nebraska commit & @IMGAcademy forward Elijah Rice. He can hit tightly contested mid-range pull-ups, make timely off ball cuts, and rebound well on the defensive glass. Finished with 22 points and 7 boards. pic.twitter.com/I9Gq6kguJd

Northwestern commit & @BCABoysVBB guard Jordan Clayton had a solid performance last game set. He showed comfort making pull-up/spot-up three-pointers, feel creating as a passer, and anticipation jumping into passing lanes for deflections. pic.twitter.com/58dW4NYBRK

.@CushingBBball guard Nigel James showed why he is one to watch in New England’s 2025 class during a tough triple OT loss. He was composed against pressure, got lane penetration changing pace, and made some important mid-range shots off the dribble. pic.twitter.com/YDXoSDmulo

2023 @sunrisehoops wing Kevin Overton came up huge in a 3OT victory. He draws contact well on layups, can make pull-up treys, and is a good rebounder for his position. Finished with 27 points and 12 boards. pic.twitter.com/FmdG4khezr

2024 @MtZionPrep SG Malachi Palmer stood out last game set. He showcased his potent mid-range pull-up, transition playmaking ability, and sturdy frame to guard up the line. pic.twitter.com/9plSQHUOMW

2024 @WA_VBB & @TheCityRocks wing Kayvaun Mulready was very good in a narrow win using his strength/leaping ability for finishing, vision finding cutting teammates, and toughness pulling down key rebounds. Finished with 23 points, 11 boards, & 4 assists. pic.twitter.com/0LoTTtgZOj

Took note of Columbia commit & @NMHBoysHoops big man Richard Nweke last game set. He is a pick & roll finishing threat using power/explosion, has a chiseled frame/high motor to rebound effectively, while also protecting the rim with good length/anticipation. pic.twitter.com/woPnCI8JK9

2024 guard Luka Toews was impressive running the show for @Newman_Hoops tonight. He whipped passes through tight windows, finished crafty layups high off the glass against bigger defenders, and even contributed as a rebounder. Had 10 points, 7 assists, and 7 boards. pic.twitter.com/q7p1YOTXQZ

2023 @GraybeeHoops guard Alexzaye Johnson caught my eye. He gets paint touches with his quick first step, can power through opponents finishing layups, and jump-stop to find open teammates spotting up for three-pointers. Had 19 points & 3 assists during a victory. pic.twitter.com/sNp0nei7ww

Kevin Overton made a ton of big plays down the stretch.
The young Cushing backcourt of Ebuka Okorie and Nigel James were already producing on a big stage. https://t.co/RdaYPJ65Qo
