National Prep Showcase Begins Today
The top ten teams in the country according to the National Prep Poll will all be in action this weekend at the National Prep Showcase.
Friday’s action tips off at 1pm with perennial New England power St. Thomas More squaring off against Massanutten Military Academy. The final game of the day will tip at 9pm as the hometown favorites St. Andrew’s face off against the #6 high school team in the country, Findlay College Prep, from Nevada.
Saturday’s action gets underway at 9am with a full slate of nine games being played during the day. The highlight will be Erik Murphy’s return to his home state as the Florida bound big man will lead his St. Mark’s team into action against Findlay College Prep at 7:30p.m.
Defending NEPSAC champions Brewster Academy will open the action on Sunday as they face off against Stoneridge Prep from California. At 4pm the Tilton school and their UConn bound duo of Alex Oriakhi and Jamal Coombs will meet Maine Central Institute. The final game of the showcase will have St. Andrew’s against Blair Academy at 5:30.
The National Prep Showcase annually plays host to over 200 college coaches and every major national recruiting service including scout.com, rivals.com, espn.com, and many others.
