Mullin Makes Early Pledge to Yale

St. Sebastian's School junior point guard Trevor Mullins took to his twitter account to announce an early commitment to Yale University on Tuesday evening.

"Blessed to annouce my commitment to play Division I basketball at Yale University! Thank you to my family, friends, coaches, and the Yale coaching staff for always believing in me! #GoBulldogs" he posted.

Mullins, who came up the ranks with the Bay State Jaguars program before joining the Albany City Rocks this spring to compete in the EYBL, is one of the most charismatic and entertaining players in New England. He's known for his flair for the game, ability to put up big numbers, and draw loads of fans in the process.

Mullins was one of the big individual winners of last June's NEPSAC showcase, landing division I offers from NJIT, Binghamton, Fairfield, Brown, Bryant, Wofford, UMBC, UMass, Penn, and Steton in the days that followed. Yale extended an offer following his summer with the Jags and more have come in since.

This season, he played a starring role for a St. Sebastian's team that advanced to the semifinals of the Class A tournament. Mullin was named All-NEPSAC following the season.

"In my 25+ years of coaching I have never worked with a kid who spends more time in the gym," said St. Sebastian's School head coach David Hinman. "Trevor has become a highly skilled point guard who plays with no fear on the court."

"His ability to score the ball has always been part of his game, but he has now learned to distribute the ball and be a leader on the court. Coach Jones and his staff did a great job recruting Trevor throughout the process. They are getting a player and a person that will impact their program in many ways."

Below are some of his highlights from the last year.
