Moore Moving onto The Citadel

Avon Old Farms forward Christian Moore announced his commitment on Wednesday night to The Citadel. 

Moore, a California native, came to New England in the fall of 2020 and attended Northfield Mount Hermon. While his first season was limited due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the next year was one to remember. Moore was part of an NMH squad that made the 2022 NEPSAC AAA and National Prep Championship Finals. 

For his last year of prep school ball, he decided to make the move to AOF. Moore had an impressive 2022-23 season, helping lead the Winged Beavers to the NEPSAC Class A Semifinals. His standout play also earned him ALL-NEPSAC and First Team Founders League honors. 

“I could not be happier for Christian on achieving his goal to play D1 college basketball,” said AOF head coach Matt Mihalich. “Anybody who watches him play can see what passion he has, but he is that way 24/7. His work ethic and incredible attitude translates directly to success on the court”

Moore becomes the second member of AOF’s 2023 class who has finalized their plans to play Division One college basketball next season.
