Devonte McCall 2017

Westminster School post-graduate forward Devonte McCall accepted a full athletic scholarship offer from Franklin Pierce University on Monday night, less than 36 hours after the NE-10 school offered him a scholarship.

He took to his twitter account to announce his decision:

His commitment is the culmination of what has been a breakout year for the Massachusetts native.

McCall previously starred at Amherst Regional High School where he averaged 20 points per game in his senior season and led his team to Division I Western Massachusetts title game for the second consecutive season.

Nevertheless, his recruitment was almost exclusively at the D3 level and so he opted for a post-graduate year. Things began to change over the summer as he ran with Metro Boston on the travel circuit and caught the attention of scholarship level coaches.

His first scholarship offer came shortly after the conclusion of the summer and he went on to add several more during his season at Westminster before opting to join the Ravens.

Below are some highlights from his season at Westminster care of HUDL.
